General Assembly "Bundesforum Familie"

Logo Bundesforum Familie

[01. 12. 2017] The “Bundesforum Familie” is a network of 120 organisations that are committed to continuous cooperation and a comprehensive dialogue supporting family concerns. On 30 Nov. the network members gathered together to reflect the discussions of the past two years, decide on a new advisory board and on the topic of 2018/19.

The Bundesforum Familie’s main activity is the facilitation of extensive discussion processes on fundamental topics concerning families. These discussions are organised at joint network events and in working groups that further develop particular topics more in depth. Usually, one broad theme is worked on for two years by incorporating the different perspectives of the network partners.

2016 and 2017 this broad topic was "refugee families". The results of the discussions have been published in a brochure and were presented in the meeting.

The work of the Bundesforum Familie is accompanied by an advisory board which is reelected every four years. So the term of the board ends this year. The members of the Bundesforum Familie therefore elected new members for the board:

  •  Magda Göller, Pestalozzi-Fröbel-Verband
  •  Dr. Andreas Heek, Gemeinschaft der Katholischen Männer Deutschland
  •  Cordula Lasner-Tietze, Deutscher Kinderschutzbund Bundesverband
  •  Silke Raab, Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund
  •  Stephan Wassmuth, Bundeselternrat

BFF-Netzwerktreffen

In the afternoon the particpants discussed the proposals for the next topic that will be in focus for 2018 and 2019. All proposals were intensely discussed and finally the particpants voted in favor of "Family, particpation and democracy".

As next steps AGF and the advisory board will think of the main sub-topics  and the methods, conferences and meetings which will help developing the new topic.
